What degenerates Culture?

When any sapien (especially women and children) in a society is not free to express themselves the culture degenerates.

In a recent conversation a woman shared a story. Someone she knew, also a woman, who lived alone, had someone enter her house at night. This women ran out of the house and called the police and the police came and started beating the person up. This woman though a victim, still felt empathy for her perpetrator.

This story reminded me of a memory as well when a partner and I were walking in a crowded area and suddenly he started yelling at a man who he said was trying to misbehave with me. I did not sense that and tried to get him to let it be. But before I knew it, we were in a police station and that man was being beaten, at one point the officer even asked to me see him being beaten as a form of justice. I left that evening feeling disgusted, confused, overwhelmed and also feeling a heaviness that potentially an innocent man has been beaten because of me.

Why do natural women feel empathy for culprits? Those who are beaten even if they have done something wrong? Why did I not feel a sense of justice in him being thrashed by two policeman?

Because instrinsically natural women are more connected to the felt sense of what is congruent vs not (more dogmatically put right Vs wrong). And even if they don’t have the words to put to it, they know that Violence is never the answer to violence.

Healing is and always will be the right answer to violence.

And even women without phd, from villages, without ever ever heard of the stock market can understand this while some of the most brilliant, powerful men on earth don’t get this until they themselves are beaten when innocent.

The wisdom of this softness, this feeling awareness and how to express it to shape culture interpersonally is the lost capacity of a womb-keeper. The lost art of teaching those around us how to make any group of sapiens harmonious without needing to wage war, which is violence and must be the last resort. We as sapiens have many many many many many many many many more creative choices before choosing to wage violence on another no matter how egregious the choice.
