This fall, I rise
As the leaves shed to the ground
I leap up with my eye on the sky
The days will shorten
but my doing will extend
The nights will lengthen
but my sleep will shrink
This start of barren winter
births my summer to thrive
My being cooled, will contract
but my beauty heated, will expand
As the light lessens, the darkness deepens
my luminance inflamed, will linger longer
because this fall, I rise.
