I am a fiery fountain of love
‘Sitas Exile’ and ‘Kali Painting’ by Raja Ravi Varma.
Kali has been lingering,
softly brushing
her blade against
my cheek, with love
hissing at every breath I take.
but,
the voices were loud,
Be a Sita.
Find your Ram
You are a Sita.
You need you to be Sita
to receive love in plenty.
Hungry for service and love, sincerely
I peeled my blue skin to fair,
I tucked away my wildness to oblivion
cutting half my four arms folding
my lethal palms in prayer.
I spoused a king,
taming my roar to a sweet melody
and trading my trident for a lotus.
I covered my rowdy locks
and beautifully bare body
under a neat yellow veil.
and now, at last, this puja,
Kali is sticking her tongue
out through my mouth
and hissing to life Adi Shakti
in every breath I take.
I now flaunt all my virtue with tantra
holding my Trishul with my kamal,
Loudly howling my roar
I adorn my bare chest
with a glorious garland made with
the severed heads of all my learned fears,
dripping the blood of all my fallacies.
I leap out from my seek of Ram,
releasing Sita from her exile
and my yoni now years
only to sit on and dance with Shiva.
and look how,
Sita and Kali are both brimming,
in their full power, balancing
fiercing my feminine and
making me a fiery fountain of love
for I am here to serve and lead,
and will fight all fires with flowers
and love all hate to defeat.
