The Trap of the Right Answer

My loyal soldiers of doing
of finding solutions,
fixing problems
framing conclusions
makes me seek the right
answer impatiently
My fears and unease,
faithful warriors
try to fight away the pain
of waiting, not knowing
and fall into the enticing trap
of half baked inklings.

And these faithful and fatal
soldiers and warriors
martyr my intuition and me
in this pointless battle
keeping me trapped in a dance
of unfelt moves
foolishly and diligently gardening
unripe fruit
all the while repeating
we have found what we seek!

At last, I recognize
this folly, and train them
to renounce rightness
and seek ripeness,
to stand
holding hands
to stay still
in the waiting, and sacredly
watch the answers ripen
by cosmic serendipity
tilled in divine time
when readied and ripe
fall into my consciousness
for all to consume
and relish the sweet taste.
